Orange County Media Advocacy

The Orange County Friday Night Live Partnership Youth Advisory Council has a wonderful opportunity to inform our peers and the community about one of the
biggest problems in our county- underage drinking. On December 5, 2002, the Youth Advisory Council will host our Campaign Kick-Off Event at an outdoor
venue, The Block of Orange. Everyone is welcome to participate in a free community event, with a hands on drinking and driving simulation, interactive community organization booths, drinking and driving and traffic safety awareness materials, and the unveiling of our campaign billboard! We want to give youth in Orange County an opportunity to see the reality of how serious the issue youth under the influence while driving really is!

NEWS STORY: Effort targets drunken driving Students involved with the Friday Night Live Youth Partnership Youth Advisory Council are unveiling their 14-foot-by-48-foot billboard from 6 to 8 tonight outside Left at Albuquerque restaurant at the Block at Orange. The event will include a video-game simulation of driving drunk as well as booths hosted by community organizations to educate the public about the effects of drunken driving.
