Butte County Media Advocacy

Butte County Youth Nexus and Friday Night Live are focusing our media advocacy campaign on the production of a Safe Driving Kit and a commercial that creates awareness and knowledge about under-aged drinking and traffic safety among 16-year-old high school students. We will be creating Safe Driving Kits that include information on traffic laws, emergency contact numbers, and what to do in different crisis situations. Also, these kits will include coupons from local businesses and promo items that appeal to a new driver. Starting in September we will be promoting the Birthday Kits on FNL chapter campuses with booths and presentations to the leadership teams and club members. The kick off event will be during Red Ribbon Week, October
21st-25th. Celebrations and distributions will be take place monthly following Red Ribbon Week.
