CFNLP and OTS Projects

Get Involved. Become an FNL Mentor.

Friday Night Live Mentors must:

  • Currently be in the 11th or 12th grade
  • Have FNL Mentoring provided in your county
    • Please check with your site administrator/school principal
      or call your county’s FNL Mentoring coordinator for more information.
    • Click on the county name on the FNL Mentoring home page to view county coordinator’s name and contact information

The benefits:

  • Being introduced to the concept of volunteerism
  • Learning new skills, such as communication, conflict-resolution, team work, and active listening
  • Qualifying to earn community service hours (depending upon school/site/district policies and programs)
  • Engaging in a mutually beneficial relationship with a younger person.
  • Gaining skills for a future career.
  • Actively provide input in planning mentor sessions and activities
  • Earning experience that looks great on a resume for a job or college application
  • Being a positive role model.
